AlKo Log Splitters The models are effective and efficient, designed for heavy-duty domestic use and manufactured to the highest standards. Safety is built-in with a two handed work station safety system just like the professionals. There are two AL-KO horizontal splitters. The entry level KHS3700L is an electric powered easy-to-use and quiet hydraulic log splitter that is effective, efficient and designed for heavy-duty domestic use. This hearth warming product has a powerful 240v 1800w motor but weighs just 35kgs making it very portable and extremely manoeuvrable. Fitted with beefy wide tyres ensure easy transportation even on uneven terrain, logs up to 370mm in length can be prepared for the hearth or wood- burning stove in seconds with a split force of some 4 tonnes. Built on a frame to provide optimum working height, the KHS 5200L also has electrically powered hydraulic operation with a maximum split force of 5 tonnes. The motor is a 2200-watt unit dealing with log lengths up to 520mm. The first of the two vertical splitting models is the LHS 5500 powered by a 3000-watt motor delivering a split force of some 5.5 tonnes, and able to deal with logs up to 1050mm. This model features fast swing-out safety feet giving the machine optimum stability during use a saving space when stored. Top-of-the-range is the LHS 6000. having all the features of the other models, this unit again has a 3000-watt motor with a split force of 6 tonnes, and splitting logs up to 1050mm.
