Eliminate snails and slugs now before they damage plants.
When daffodils finish blooming, leave the leaves attached to the bulb to provide nourishment for next year's bloom. Let the foliage wither and yellow.

Finish pruning deciduous dormant plants such as fruit trees, grapes and cane berries before they leaf out.
Finish planting bare-root plants in the garden. They should be planted before they begin to leaf out with the warming weather.
When the weather warms, begin fertilizing the garden with an all-purpose fertilizer for blooming and fruiting plants. Put weed abrice or black plastic onto your vegetable beds if you havn't done so by now.

Dig up over-wintered parsnips as soon as the soil is loose enough. They will not benefit from any additional time in the ground.
If your compost pile has been frozen all winter, add some manure now and turn it frequently.
Dormant spraying for fruit trees should be done before spring growth begins.
Manure can be spread over the garden now, especially on the asparagus and rhubarb beds.
Start some vegetables in trays now: Brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, and lettuce are good choices.
